The GO fan in Malaysia is relatively quite during the year 1999. However, we have a memorable event when Hajim Tokimoto (8P) and Kanai (5P) visited us towards the end of 1998. Other than showing them off some of the favorite local tourist spots we quickly move to go board. We benefited tremendously from their brief teaching and guidance. We also take the opportunity to organized a friendly match between the local fans and the Japanese fan. (Diag. 1)
The usual activities of the Malaysian GO fans were normally taken place during weekends. We met at tea-house to have a sip of tea and at the same time indulge ourselves in the game of go. Visiting the Japanese Club is also part of our routine weekend agenda. The local Japanese GO fans were having their meet in the Japanese Club every Saturday. Since the Japanese is running a ladder system at the club both the local and the Japanese are participating in it. (Diag. 2)

We have been organizing an annual tournament at and around turn of the year. Each year the player and fan around the country will gather and meet. The tournament will use either Swiss or Round-Robin system and it normally spread across two days. Other than the tournament game, participants will take all the opportunity to play just a few more games with each other outside the tournament. (Diag. 3)

In order to promote the game of GO, we occasionally run classes for those who are interested in the game. This is usually takes place in the tea-house. (Diag. 4)
